How Our Entrance Doors Are Made

HANDMADE

Hand Painted or stained

Much of the construction is done entirely by hand, piece by piece. This slow, meditative process results in beutifully crafted doors that are truly one-of-a-kind.

Each door and frame has the finish applied by hand giving deep lustrious colours and a choice of Matt , Satin or Gloss using best quality paint and woodstain manufactured brands . This process can take days or even weeks depending on the size and complecity of the project.

NATURAL & MAN MADE MATERIALS

HAND FINISHED

Many of our pieces use timbers sustainably sourced from FSC certified timber merchants. Steels and glass from carbon reducing manufacturers werever possible. Many stains and paint pigments are from natural sources. Colors will deepen and soften over time—a beautiful reminder that where living materials are used there is a natural aging process.

At the end of the manufacturing process each piece is inspected for blemishes which do not meet our finish requirements. Hand made products by definition are not mass manufactured products and may show tooling marks or other imperfections / patina acceptable in hand made products. These imperfections are not faults but reflect the nature of manufacture.

From our beginnings as a dedicated local workshop making all kinds of bespoke joinery , we have grown into a trusted name, solely manufacturing bespoke doors, known for an obsessive attention to detail. Every project we undertake is a continuation of our journey, bridging traditional craftsmanship with the refined needs of modern architecture. with decades of experience producing high end joinery and doors from many other materials.

Made to Endure

MAintenance

Your door no matter what material is designed to withstand the worst weather conditions , and remain draught and watertight. The finish you choose will only require a wipe down every now and then with a damp cloth and mild detergent between maintenance .

Maintenance should be considered a neccessity . Painted doors should be inspected every 3 - 5 years and touched up or repainted. The same applies to Varnish and woodstains. Seals should be protected from sharp objects , grit or stones should be removed from threshold. Wipe down with cloth and mild detergent in water.

Annual Maintenance Contracts

GUARANTEE

You may wish to purchase an annual or Bi Annual Maintenance Contract. Especially suitable for Flood Doors, Eco Haus Doors and any QuiXseal Smart door. We will send our Service Team to fully test and bring up to specification your door . including any micro electronic updates (provided as free update) So you always have our most upto date system. We also clean the door/s, wipe down the finish and undertake hardware maintainance leaving your door looking like new ( Painting / Woodstaining not included but can be added to service for nominal fee).
